Fabulous Courettes Set to Rock San Francisco

The Fabulous Courettes, an international garage-rock duo, will perform at the Make-Out Room in San Francisco on Sunday, accompanied by Oakland's surf/garage trio, the Greasy Gills. Formed in 2015, the duo consists of Brazilian singer and guitarist Flavia Couri and Danish drummer Martin Couri, who initially met while Couri was touring in Brazil. Their music blends girl-group harmonies, '60s pop influences, and garage rock. Over the past ten years, they have released numerous 45s, split singles, and two albums, gaining recognition for their dynamic live performances across Europe. To cater to their American audience, they have compiled their earlier works into collections, including the 2021 CD "Here We Are the Courettes." Their recent albums, such as "Back in Mono" and "The Soul of... The Fabulous Courettes," showcase their evolution in sound, fusing garage and pop elements. The show promises to deliver an electrifying experience for attendees.
